Born in Manhattan and raised in Queens, Dr, Michael Mann attended high school, college and medical school in Manhattan. He graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University’s Yeshiva College and received his MD degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. After a one year medicine residency at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, he completed a residency in dermatology at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. Since then, he has been in active clinical practice in New York City and since 1993 on Long Island where he and his wife raised their four children.
Michael Mann, MD is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an Assistant Attending in Dermatology at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. One morning each month, he helps supervise residents at the Columbia Dermatology Clinic.
A diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Mann passed the certification examination in 1991, participates in the Maintenance of Certification program, and has passed three recertification examinations.  He has been a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology since 1992.
